Abstract: |
This document prepared by the National Education and Information Advisory Taskforce presents a national study on consumer and trader experiences in the marketplace in relation to statutory warranties and refunds.
This report was commissioned by consumer protection agencies across Australia to research how consumers, traders and manufacturers respond when it comes to defective white goods, electronic goods and mobile phones.
The research report aims to inform education and compliance activities by identifying complex issues facing traders and consumers in relation to their statutory rights and obligations for warranties and refunds.
The paper does not represent government policy, rather it is intended to stimulate debate and discussion on statutory warranties and refunds. |
