Issues Paper - Sharing of repair information in the automotive industry

Date:

Friday, 15 July 2011

Content ID:

2096

Abstract:

On 9 March 2011, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer, the Hon David Bradbury MP, provided the Commonwealth Consumer Affairs Advisory Council (CCAAC) with terms of reference to report on the sharing of repair information in the automotive industry.

This issues paper seeks evidence and views about whether consumer detriment is caused by current practices related to the sharing of repair information and whether the benefits of any proposed change to current arrangements would be likely to outweigh the relevant costs.
