Abstract:

This submissions are in response to the Compensation for Loss in the Financial Services Sector - Issues and Options Paper. The purpose of the review is to consider compensation arrangements in the financial services sector, with the aim of ensuring that Australia has a comprehensible and efficient compensation regime, which provides appropriate protection for investors and does not impose an unjustified burden on participants in the sector.

The Government sought submissions on the Compensation for Loss Issues and Options Paper in September 2002. Below are the submissions that the authors have agreed can be released publicly.
