Abstract: |
This background paper is intended to assist those who wish to comment on the Issues Paper and does not represent a definitive view of the final proposals that the Working Group might recommend to Government. In some respects this paper goes further than the proposals raised in the Issues Paper, in order to promote a more fulsome discussion about options for improving the safety of superannuation.superannuation funds, providing APRA with a prudential standards-making power, changes to the legislative framework, and in relation to financial assistance for failed superannuation funds. |
