Abstract: |
The Bill will provide a capacity for separating or divorcing couples, as part of their property settlement on marriage breakdown, to divide superannuation payments to which one of them may be entitled in the future. Comments received on the proposals will be taken into account in providing advice to the Government. The Attorney-General’s Department will be consulting separately on proposed amendments to the Family Law Regulations consequential upon the Bill. |
