Abstract:

This consultation document canvasses a number of implementation issues associated with the Government’s announced measure to allow people who are still in the workforce to access their superannuation as a non-commutable income stream once they reach their preservation age. The measure was announced on 25 February 2004 by the Treasurer as part of the policy statement "A more flexible and adaptable retirement income system".

All interested parties are invited to make submissions and provide comments on the issues raised in the consultation document.
