Australia and Bermuda Tax Information Exchange Agreement

Abstract:

The Governments of Australia and Bermuda have signed an Agreement for the Exchange of Information Relating to Taxes. The Agreement provides for exchange of information on request in both criminal and civil tax matters.

The signing took place on 10 November 2005 in Washington.

The Agreement has entered into force on 20 September 2007 as Australia and Bermuda have advised that they have completed their respective domestic requirements.

The signing of this Agreement was announced by the Treasurer in Media Release No. 98 of 2005.
