Discussion Paper - Designing a Tax System Advisory Board

Friday, 21 January 2011

Content ID:

On 21 January 2011 the Assistant Treasurer announced the consultation details for the Government's election commitment to establish a Tax System Advisory Board. The Assistant Treasurer also released a discussion paper outlining different ways of establishing the Board that would form the basis of the Government's consultation with the Australian community.

The Government has formed a Consultation Panel (consisting of David Parker, Jennie Granger, Richard Warburton and Jillian Segal) to facilitate this consultation. The Panel will consider the submissions and provide advice to the Government by 30 June 2011 about the best way of proceeding with this commitment.
