About the Commonwealth Consumer Affairs Advisory Council

The Commonwealth Consumer Affairs Advisory Council (CCAAC) was established in 1999 to provide the Minister of the day with independent advice on consumer issues. CCAAC has been retained in a similar role by all subsequent Ministers, including the current Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer, the Hon Chris Pearce MP.

CCAAC currently has 12 members drawn from across Australia. The current members of CCAAC are:
